Podcast studio in Cairo, with the cameras and the edit included

You can book a room in Cairo. You can book a crew in Cairo. Booking both, and walking out with the episode finished, is harder than it should be.

UNO Production is a studio in El Mokattam, Cairo — open every day, 10am to 10pm.

Clients drive in from New Cairo, Maadi, Nasr City and across east Cairo — directions, parking and drive times. You book the room by the hour, we film with two or three cameras, and the edit comes back as a finished episode. One booking, one invoice, one place to chase if something is wrong.

What a podcast booking includes

  • The room, set up for conversation rather than for a shoot — lit, quiet, and arranged so the conversation is the only thing anyone has to think about.
  • Two or three cameras, your choice. Three gives a wide plus a close shot on each speaker, which is what makes a long episode watchable. Sony throughout — FX3, A7S III, A7 IV, A7 III and A7C, so a three-camera setup is matched rather than mixed.
  • Microphones and monitoring. Rode PodMic ×2 on the table, plus Hollyland Lark M2S ×2 and DJI Mic ×2 wireless when people move.
  • Lighting already set, so you are not paying for an hour of someone moving lights.
  • An operator, so nobody in the conversation is also running the recording. An operator is always part of a crewed booking, and that is the way we would rather you book it — the results are better than self-operating.
  • The edit, as a separate line you can take or leave: cut, colour, sound, titles, and short clips for social.

Two cameras or three

Two cameras suit a host and one guest — a wide for context, a close for whoever is talking. Cheaper, faster to edit, and enough for most interview shows.

Three cameras suit a host and two guests, or any episode you intend to cut into clips. Each speaker has their own frame, so the editor can cut on a reaction instead of waiting for a camera to find it. If you plan to post reels from the episode, book three — 6,400 edited, against 5,400 on two.

Both rates are on the prices page.

You can also book the room and nothing else

Some people have their own crew and only need the space. That is location-only hire: the room and the lighting, and you bring everything and everyone else. Location-only is self-operated by definition, and the minimum is two hours — 1,000 for the room, 1,400 for the outdoor area, 2,400 for both.

Or the edit without the shoot

If you have already recorded, here or elsewhere, we edit it. Podcast editing is priced per episode by camera count; reel editing is priced per clip. Send the files and tell us about the show. However suits you — Google Drive, WeTransfer, or a hard drive dropped at the studio. Drive is the one most people use, and it is how we send the finished work back. Finished episodes come back in 7 days at the most.

Questions people ask before booking

How much is a podcast studio in Cairo per hour? 4,400 to record — two hours, two cameras, footage handed over. 5,400 and the episode comes back edited, ready to publish, or 6,400 on three cameras. Want the clips too? Episode plus 5 reels is 6,000, plus 10 reels 6,400. Or take the room by the hour from 500 and bring your own crew.

How long should I book? Two hours, which is what the package is built around — enough for a one-hour episode with setup and resets. The room has no limitations worth warning you about, so if you want longer for a longer show, book longer.

Do you edit the episode too? Yes, as a separate service — by episode for the full edit, by clip for reels. You can book the shoot without the edit, or the edit without the shoot.

Can I record two episodes in one booking? Yes, and the time costs nothing extra — two hours is two hours, and if you can record two episodes in it, record two. Editing is what is priced: 4,400 includes no edit, 5,400 includes one, and each further edited episode is 1,000 on two cameras or 1,500 on three.

How far ahead do I need to book? A day is enough. Message the day before and you will almost always get the slot you want. Longer notice helps for a full day or a particular area, but nobody needs to plan a week out.

What do I need to bring? Nothing but yourself and your guests. Cameras, microphones, lighting and an operator are all here. Bring notes if you work from them.
